POPULAR MUSIC GROUP

We were founded late in 2021 and have over 20 members now.
We are blessed in this borough to have two venues with regular shows,
usually of tribute acts such as the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin,
Small Faces, Travelling Wilburys, and David Bowie etc.
On occasion It’s possible for a band to include one or more original members   eg Lindisfarne, the Kinks.                                                                                                  The two venues are the Cryer Arts in Carshalton and the Boom Boom club at Sutton United’s football ground.
Our membership is mixed, currently in early 2023 about 40% male, 60% female.   We are open to everyone who appreciates live music.                                                   I am very happy to include as an “associate” member anyone who might like
to tag along to one or two shows , without wanting to commit to a monthly meeting.                                                                                                                                      This arrangement might suit those in two or three other groups already.
We meet on the second Wednesday in every month  at 7:30pm, very informally, usually in the Cryer bar but occasionally elsewhere.                                                   it’s worth checking before setting off.
