The Photography Group B is a friendly group which meets throughout the
year. The aim is to visit interesting places by exercising our Freedom
Passes or car sharing. Today good photographs can be taken using
mobile phones, so if you have one it is not necessary to carry a
separate camera although most of us do.
We meet fortnightly on first and third Tuesdays of the month and follow (weather
permitting) a programme of all day events. This is agreed in advance
at our planning meeting and each member is expected to recommend a
venue and lead an outing. We usually start from Sutton around 10 and
return around 3:30 although some trips can take longer, but the main
aim is to enjoy the picture taking and the company. We also view
varied exhibitions to enhance our ability by example of others work.
During the past months we have visited Pitzhanger Manor Ealing,
Leeds Castle, photographed around Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Canary
Wharf & the Spitalfield areas and visited exhibitions at Tate Britain, Portrait
Gallery, Wildlife (and Landscape) Photographers of the Year and many others.
We also get together to show our images to each other.
All levels of photographers are welcome, and although we don’t
instruct, some help will always be available.
