ART GALLERIES & MUSEUMS
Our visits usually take place
on the third Tuesday of each month.
We occasionally agree to vary the day in order to visit venues which do not open early in the week.
The programme of visits is put together by group members meeting for coffee with each putting forward an idea.
This means that a variety of interests and current exhibitions can be featured month by month. Travel can be together, or meeting at a venue; and we often include lunch somewhere local to the museum or gallery.
Having a National Art Pass (see www.artfund.org)
is an advantage for free or reduced price entry
to many museums, galleries, and special exhibitions.
Over the months we have visited the Tate, the National Gallery, Dulwich Picture Gallery, the V & A, the British Museum, the Wallace Collection,
Kenwood House, the Museum of London Docklands, and many more.
We can usually accommodate more members.
