Family History meets on the second Monday of the month from 2-4pm at a member's home in Carshalton. The group is for people wishing to find out about their ancestors, when and where they lived, their families and occupations. We meet together to learn, share information and help each other make progress in this fascinating field of research. A large amount of the information is now found on the Internet so familiarity with using a computer is necessary for your research. However a computer is not used at the monthly meetings. All libraries in the London Borough of Sutton and throughout Surrey County provide free computer facilities including free access to two of the main genealogy sites – personal membership to these sites requires a fee. (A Sutton and/or Surrey library membership card is required and is easy to obtain.) Further information is available from the group leader Sue Hawes on 020 8647 8942. updated 13/9/22 |
