London Appreciation C was only formed in May, 2012, having a first meeting
to agree a Programme.
A planning meeting is held every six months.
It was agreed that this new
Group should be run by the members of the Group, Don Jordan is
the Co-ordinator and will offer support in
the background. At the first meeting we laid out guidelines as
to how the group should be organised. We agreed
we would have our days out on the first Thursday
of each month. It was hoped to have contact
only through email, unfortunately this was not
practical, as not all members are on online.
A six month programme was agreed,
with various members agreeing to lead on different occasions.
So the leader of the group would be responsible
to organise that day, meet up points, travel arrangements,
and where refreshments are available. The members were
all sent a print out of the programme, detailing
who was running each outing and an email contact address.
Those who do not have an email facility will phone the Group Leader
to find out the arrangements.
It will be the members' responsibility to contact the leader to find out information,
not the leader's
responsibility to contact each member.
So far we have visited The Jewish Museum, Kensington Palace, Richmond, Lambeth Palace and enjoyed
a boat trip to Greenwich.
If, for some reason, the leader cannot be contacted members can contact Don on 0203 441 4269
