The Science Group is a
collaborative effort between Nonsuch High School for Girls and three
local U3A branches which are Sutton, Banstead and
Epsom.
The lectures are funded by the School through an outreach programme.
This collaboration enables us to attract
speakers who are prominent in their particular field.
Held in the 6th Form Common Room at Nonsuch High School For Girls, Cheam Road, Cheam.
Open 2.30pm for a 3pm start. (Strictly no admittance prior to this time)
The dates of lectures
for the remainder of the year are:
8th October - Dr Tim Mason, Visiting Lecturer in Medical Biology at Portsmouth University.
"The Plague 1000 BC to 2000 AD"
10th December - Mr Norman Clarkson, Gemologist.
"Gem Testing"
Due to building work, entry to the school
will be through the main entrance ONLY until further notice.
The building work is likely
to take about a year to complete. Please park in the carpark on the left, opposite the main entrance, and wait in the
porch for an escort to the meeting room.
